John J. Bernauer is the President of Industrial Service Enterprises and is a company board member with over 25 years of experience in the steel industry. His primary duties with the company include estimating, designing, and overseeing ISE’s roof-lifting business.
John enjoys the nuance and challenges involved in steel fabrication and construction, leading him to spend nearly his entire career in structural steel. He started as an ironworker in his early years before moving up to foreman and becoming a Project Manager. People who know him can always count on his positive outlook and ability to think outside the box to complete projects.
A true leader with a team-player mentality, John makes sure that his client projects run smoothly and are completed on time and on budget. His goal is to make clients feel comfortable and confident throughout their engagement with ISE. John has a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from The University of Indianapolis. He has also attained his Certified Crane Operations License and is a certified welder.
He is married with two children and resides in Kinnelon, New Jersey. A true renaissance man, John spends his time away from work skiing, competing in triathlons, playing golf, and even creating pottery. He does his part in the community by volunteering his expertise through The Building and Grounds Committee at The Lakeland Hills Family YMCA as well as sits on the Board of Governors.
